I’ve known Eric’s family for years and was thrilled to photograph his session. We shared laughs, told stories, and visited some of his favorite places around Smithville.

We started Eric’s senior session at his family farm, capturing relaxed and authentic moments that reflected his strong ties to home. From there, we explored the Smithville Historical Village, full of rustic textures and timeless charm. To wrap up, we made a stop at the Smithville High School football field—a place filled with pride and memories from his four years as a varsity lineman.

Each setting made his senior photos in Smithville Ohio, both personal and unforgettable.

FFA, Football, and Fall: Capturing Eric’s Interests

Eric is the youngest of two siblings, with an older sister currently serving in the Navy. He’s involved in a wide variety of activities that reflect both leadership and dedication:

• 4-year varsity football lineman
• Wrestler
• FFA officer with a State Degree
• Active member of the St. Mary’s youth group
• Volunteer for 4-H, mission trips, and community service

Also, in his downtime, Eric enjoys watching movies (Stranger Things and Lord of the Rings are favorites), hanging out with friends, and exploring historic towns. His family recently traveled out west and is planning a trip to Europe this summer.

Furthermore, he’ll continue both academics and athletics at Ohio Northern University, playing football and majoring in Computer Engineering.

Fall is Eric’s favorite season, and his session showed exactly why. The colors, the textures, and the cool air created the perfect atmosphere. Whether it was the golden light at the farm, the historic charm of Smithville village, or the energy of the football field, Eric brought a confident and fun spirit to every photo.

We even got a few goofy shots between serious poses—just the kind of vibe you hope for during a senior session!

A Session Close to My Heart

Photographing senior photos in Smithville Ohio, for Eric was extra special. I’ve known his family since we connected at the Wooster Church of the Nazarene, and I’ve always enjoyed spending time with his mom and Aunt Trude. I had the privilege of photographing his older sister’s session too, so this felt like a full-circle moment.
