Spring senior photos in Ohio can be tricky to plan, especially when the weather doesn’t cooperate or the flowers aren’t blooming yet. Piper’s session is a perfect example—she wanted beautiful floral backdrops for her senior photos, but with a cold spring and no flowers in sight, we had to get creative. Luckily, Kingwood Gardens in Ohio offered the perfect setting for her spring senior photos, delivering stunning scenery and a memorable experience.
About Piper
Piper Porter is the oldest sibling in her family and a dedicated defensive specialist on her volleyball team, where she’s played for 10 years. She loves spending quality time with family, playing games, and watching movies. Summer is her favorite season, and light blue is her favorite color. When Piper relaxes, she enjoys watching TV.
In addition, she volunteers with Share-A-Christmas and loves hanging out with friends and shopping. Some of Piper’s favorite things include watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and buying thoughtful gifts. She adores flowers and the beach, and whether traveling far or staying close, she’s always eager for new adventures.
Piper’s favorite shopping spots are big malls with a variety of stores. She also enjoys dining at Longhorn and Wingstop, and watching shows like Hawaii Five-O and Gossip Girl. When it comes to food, she’s open to just about anything!
Looking ahead, Piper plans to attend Ohio State University to study criminology. She currently works at Blue Sky Café, a charming little café in Berlin.
The Challenge of Spring Senior Photos in Ohio
Planning spring senior photos in Ohio can sometimes be unpredictable. Piper initially scheduled her session for early spring with a different photographer, hoping for a floral wonderland. Unfortunately, that session never got finalized, and spring in Ohio turned out colder and less colorful than expected.
Since Piper had her heart set on flowers, I reached out to photographer friends and discovered Kingwood Gardens—a gorgeous spot that allows photography for a fee. Kingwood Gardens provided the perfect backdrop with beautiful blooms and serene scenery. I would happily return there for any future sessions!
Capturing BFF Moments and Looking Forward to Fall
Piper’s best friend Arora, whose senior photos I had previously taken, joined the session for some heartfelt BFF photos. The two plan to showcase these at their combined graduation party—a wonderful way to celebrate friendship and senior memories.
Why Choose Spring Senior Photos in Ohio?
Despite the challenges, spring sessions can be incredibly rewarding. When the weather and flowers cooperate, they create breathtaking images. However, having beautiful alternatives like Kingwood Gardens ensures that your photos will be stunning regardless of the season’s unpredictability.
