Fall Family Session
An extended family fall session!
A few years ago, I got a call from this sweet, sweet lady named Julia. She contacted me to do her family photos and someone at her work had referred me. When I met Julia and her family, I knew she looked familiar to me! BUT, it took me a bit to figure it out. Julia and I had gone to Seville Elementary together, years ago! Such a small world! Fast forward, each year, I am super excited when I get my yearly call from Julia for me to capture her beautiful families photos. BUT, this year she had a special request, an extended fall family session for her parents 45th Anniversary at or near her home. We were on a limited schedule to meet everyone’s’ schedules with kids and sports. We were finally able to meet up a couple Sundays ago.
Sometimes plans change
It just so happened to be the Sunday with strong winds and Tornado warnings! I checked my trusty app called Dark Sky, if I went with it, I knew we needed to bump the session up an hour at least. So Julia got to making phone calls and gathered everyone early. Families came in from all over, Ashland, Wadsworth, and Columbus! Our plans had been to go to the OARDC, but with the rain, tornado warnings, and crazy wind, I mean seriously there were times our hair was blowing sideways, we decided to stay in Dustin and Julia’s backyard. It was stunning back there with the fall color and my favorite tall grass. We fought through the high cold winds and would snap away when it would die down for a minute.
I really love Julia and her little family and now I love the rest of the {Yannayon} ladies and their families! Easy family to photograph and we had lots of laughs, despite the crazy weather!
