Kyle | Class of 2020
Time truly flies, and watching kids I’ve known for years grow into young adults always tugs at my heart. One of those special moments was capturing Kyle’s Triway High School senior photos. I’ve known Kyle since Jeremy and I began attending the Nazarene Church back in 2008, so having the honor of photographing this milestone for him was incredibly meaningful.
Behind the Scenes – Planning
When we started planning his senior session, it was clear we needed to highlight the things that mean the most to him—basketball, track, and his summer job at the OARDC. We made sure his Triway High School Senior Photos included the sports and locations that shaped his experience. These experiences shaped his high school journey, so of course, they deserved to be front and center in his portraits.
Additionally, Kyle’s height stood out during the shoot! Even though he’s not too thrilled about being so tall, his mom and I both love that about him. Naturally, I had to document his “tallness,” which he inherited from his dad, in a fun and personal way.
A Special Session for a Triway High School Senior
One of the best parts of this session was the time spent with the “S” family. Not only did I get to document Kyle’s senior photos, but we shared laughs and memories throughout. At one point, I forgot my step ladder—oops! Thankfully, Todd took a crash course in using my camera and helped grab a great overhead shot. Also, that moment alone made this experience even more memorable.
