College of Wooster Summer Engagement Session
Michaela and I had been texting back and forth on the day of the engagement shoot, watching the weather. Lately, in Ohio, the early Summer weather has been full of rain. We might have watched some really BIG storm clouds, that would seem to just blow right over us. A few times, we might have got a few drops, but we really lucked out! This turned out to be a beautiful College of Wooster Summer engagement session despite the rain clouds! The rain held out right until we were getting in our cars!
A little about Michaela and Luke
Michaela and Luke met at a young adult retreat in May of 2016 and Luke knew it was love at first sight. Their first date was a relaxed date to Chipolte, then headed for a walk at Oak Hill Park. Michaela and Luke both answered in their questionnaire that one of the three things they couldn’t live without, without naming each other was Jesus.
When I asked them to describe each other in three words, Luke said ” beautiful, strong and sweet”. Michaela said ” Gentle leader, handsome, and servant.”
They look forward to doing lots of hiking and traveling. They enjoy being humble servants for the Lord and they hope to impact others for Christ along the way.
Michaela thought was going on a girls night with her sisters. But part of the plan was to take their Mom to meet their Dad at one of Michaela and Lukes favorite parks. They had to wait for her Dad to come so her sister and her started to hike up the trail. Meanwhile, her other sister and Luke snuck up behind them and when Mikayla’s sister got a “text” saying Dad was here, they turned around to Luke coming out from behind a tree and dropping to one knee. Michaela said she should’ve got the hint, they both love to hike, they were at one of their favorite parks. Such a sweet proposal!
I can’t wait for Michaela and Lukes wedding day in August, walking around the College of Wooster Campus taking photos and chatting, Michaela and Luke felt like old friends. Michaela and Luke are clearly a match made in heaven. By the way, they interact, make each other laugh so easily and love each other, it was very evident to me during this College of Wooster Summer Engagement Session, that they both had such a genuine love and respect for each other. Luke and Michaela, I enjoyed meeting with you at Dunkin Donuts for coffee and donuts after our photography session! I can’t believe we chatted for hours about your wedding day, life, and the Lord! I am looking forward to spending such a special day with you and THANK you for choosing me to be your wedding photographer.
