Their love story started in high school—Kayla’s junior year and Charlie’s senior year. She had just transferred schools, and they met on the school bus. Charlie says, “Before I even talked to her, I told my friend she was going to be my girlfriend!”

“I had no idea it was happening—but my whole family did! We were on a big family vacation when Charlie asked if I wanted to walk on the beach. Halfway through our walk, he started talking about how much he loved me. Then I saw him on one knee! As soon as I said yes, my whole family came running out—they’d been watching the whole time!”

“I was so nervous! I proposed on the very first day of our family vacation—just a few hours after we got there. I couldn’t wait any longer!”
