Yep, you read that right, I’m going to be a Grandma

I wear all kinds of hats, Wife, Mom, Educational Aide, Photographer, but a new one I will be wearing is Grandma! I am so excited that I’m going to be a Grandma, that I just can’t stand it! People keep telling me that there is nothing like it. Let me tell you, I will soon find out, but if my heart is already swooning over the baby shower we planned, I can’t even imagine when I finally get to meet her.

Let’s just say something here, I plan to be a better Grandma than per say, party planner! One little problem with being a Wedding photographer is that I get to photograph all these beautifully decorated Weddings. So I just knew that our little Baby “J” deserved the most beautifully planned baby shower that a Grandma could throw. Brittany and I worked over a month planning away, we wore the florist, designer and baker hats too! Thank goodness I didn’t try to wear the “Calligrapher hat” because let’s face it, my writing looks like chicken scratch! So be sure to check out the gorgeous signs we got from Gold Leaf Calligraphy.

I tried to wear a few to many hats!

Yep, all the hats, plus party planner, that might not have headed the weather channels warnings! Whew, we might have had a small slight catastrophe when the clock struck 1:30, guests were arriving at our open house style baby shower, when THUNDER cracked! Yes, yes, let’s just keep it short here, it poured, we scrambled. It was sorta crazy, but it was much like my life anyway, I like it exciting, I guess! It turned out great anyway, a few of us were a tad wet, the SUN ended up coming out, our beautiful backdrop dried. I might not have got as many photos as I would’ve liked, but all in all, we got some great ones. I just hate to admit, I tried to wear to many hats in one day! It will definitely be a memorable shower in my mind.

Congratulations Jordan Michael and Brittany Mae!

My sweet son Jordan, I can’t believe you’re going to be a Daddy, I know you will make a great one and Miss Brittany, your already a Mama at heart! We can’t wait to watch the story that God is writing in your lives. We know that HE always has a plan, a perfect plan at a perfect time. Sweet, sweet Jayla Mae, we all can’t wait to meet you! Your Grandpa and I wonder if you will have your Daddy’s curls or not. Baby girl, you are already so loved and your Grandpa and I can’t wait to hold you in our arms! Plus your Aunt and Uncle are counting the days until your here.

P.S. I love the photos of Brittany processing the beautiful canvases that I had custom made by one of my Class of 2017 Senior Reps, by the way, if you are looking for some awesome artwork, this sweet gal is raising money to go to the SAFA Ministry School.

All of that being said, I am sticking to Wife, Mother, Educational Aide, Photographer and the best of all GRANDMA!

Thank you to Tiffany and Will for stepping in when our “hats” were getting worn thin by Friday night! Oh did I mention I second shot a wedding on Saturday? Slightly crazy, remember I said that earlier, I like living on the edge. My table and chair set up crew, Jordan, Tyler, Jerren and Will. My Hubby, Jerren and Mother in law who grilled in the rain. To my Aunts Angie, Teri, Lisa and Bev (Kevin too) for all your help on Sunday! Anyone I missed, I apologize, we couldn’t have done it without you! But MOST OF ALL, our GUESTS! You guys rolled with the THUNDER! Ha, ha get it?!? Anywho, thanks for hanging in there with us, while we crammed in our tiny little house, threw food in as fast as we could and dried wet chairs! I hope you all got a good laugh and will never forget Baby J’s Baby Shower! We love you ALL!
